Inauguration of the Observatory. Local inhabitants participate along with the authorities, the committee of the Swiss astronomical Society. The Observatory is managed by the SFA, the Fribourg Astronomical Society.

Contract signed between the Fondation Robert-A. Naef and the Adult Education Centre of the Canton of Fribourg for the management of the Observatory. Temporary closure for revision work.

The Observatory is reopened to the public. Planning of an extension.

Rehabilitation of the Marly-Épendes planetary trail.
Summer 1991
Start of the extension: an observation terrace with sliding roof, a planetarium.

Publication of a colour brochure.

Inauguration of the Observatory's new premises.

Project to build a coelostat for the observation of the Sun.

Inauguration of coelostat during the constitutive assembly of the new Association of Friends of the Observatory.

Opening of the Observatory's website.

Complete redesign of the website. Planning of the replacement of the C14.

Signature of an agreement between the Association and the University of Teacher Education of Fribourg to provide teacher training in the field of astronomy and access of school classes to the Observatory.

20th anniversary of the Observatory : inauguration of the new Keller telescope. Popular fair. Media: newspapers, Radio-Fribourg, Swiss-french television TSR.
